"Transforming Regulatory and Operational Challenges into Opportunities for Growth and Greater Impact"
Uganda's civil society sector is navigating major regulatory change. The Employment (Amendment) Act 2026 has introduced new employer obligations, the shift to the International Non-Profit Accounting Standard (INPAS) is reshaping how NGOs report on their finances, and enforcement of the Data Protection and Privacy Act is tightening. Taken together, these changes call for more than piecemeal adjustments — they call for a shared, sector-wide conversation.
Convened by Onyango & Co. Advocates, this one-day hybrid conference brings NGOs, non-profit associations, donors, and regulators together to make sense of the new landscape and leave with clear, practical next steps. It's not compliance for its own sake — it's about giving Uganda's civil society sector the clarity and tools it needs to keep doing its work within the law.
By the end of the day, every delegate will walk away with:
A clear picture of their organisation's regulatory status
A prioritised view of which challenges matter most for their organisation
A complimentary, organisation-specific compliance health-check
Key focus areas:
Who should attend: NGO leadership, finance and compliance officers, HR managers, board members of associations and CBOs, donor and development partner representatives, legal/audit/HR advisors, financial service providers, and regulators including the NGO Bureau, URA, FIA, and ICPAU.
